CORE TEX SELECTOR, Berlin
When we first thought about starting Hawkins & Joseph, one of the first people to believe in us and encourage us was Andy from Core Tex Records in the Kreuzberg area of Berlin.
The address of CORE TEX SELECTOR: Oranienstrasse 195, 10999 Berlin
Core Tex isnít just your average record store, this place is an institution! A meeting place for people from all over the world. They are a pivotal part of the European punk and hardcore scene and have been since day one.
They recently opened a new clothing store called CORE TEX SELECTOR which is just down the road from the record store. We are honoured that they have chosen to stock Hawkins & Joseph in this great new store and we hope that you will visit and support both stores if you ever find yourself in Berlin.
The 2 Tone Village
The 2 Tone explosion of 1979 was a ground breaking moment in time for us here at Hawkins & Joseph. We were young kids just starting out in life and wondering what ďitĒ was all about. When 2 Tone came along itís fair to say it shaped us into the people we later became.
The address of The 2 Tone Village: The Courtyard, Walsgrave Road, Coventry, CV2 4ED
So itís with enormous pleasure that we can announce that The 2 Tone Village in Coventry, England are stocking Hawkins & Joseph!!
The 2 Tone Village houses a museum, a cafť and restaurant, a clothing department and they put gigs on there too. The Wall Of Fame has many photos of those great days, signed by those involved in the whole movement. We strongly urge anyone with even a passing interest in 2 Tone or ska to pay them a visit.
